Wavy hair, tan skin and jutting hip bones seem to come to mind when I think of the seventies.... I imagine I would be partying with rock stars and all the beautiful people.

Staying up till the early morning smoking slender cigarettes and drinking Harvey Wallbangers. (Although from what my mother has told me you won't need to drink too many!) I picture gold bangles, platform shoes and lots of glitter. But most importantly I picture myself wearing a fabulous HALSTON dress.

Roy Frowick Halston, also known as Halston, helped to define American style and has influenced the likes of Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger. He is best know for dressing the jet set of the era in his simple and elegant designs. Even forty years later his original pieces are highly coveted and hard to find. If this one's a little out of reach, also listed is an original 1970s HALSTON pant suit with bidding starting at just 99 cents! This suit is fabulous but has some minor issues, probably due to a previous owner's hard partying in the 1970s!

Both these pieces have renewed my love of seventies fashion so here's some more eye candy and a Harvey Wallbanger recipe that's sure to make you feel like you've been partying with rock stars.......
1 1⁄2 oz vodka- 4 oz fresh squeezed orange juice
- 1⁄2 oz Galliano liqueur
- orange slice
- marischino cherry
Shake the vodka and orange juice with ice, strain into an ice-filled highball glass. Use a spoon to carefully float the Galliano on top. Garnish with orange slice and cherry.
