A New Day

I finally got my new rug! Well, it's new to me but it was made in the early 1900s. I'm pretty sure it was quite a bit larger and was cut down at some point. It is exactly what I wanted! There are holes and wear but it has a history! which is what I love the most. That pop of green in it is to die for!

Cat approved

Chanel and YSL
Here are some of new goodies. All vintage of course. Mostly for the style but also for the price. I'm not made of money but I still love the finer things. *sigh

My office has changed quite a bit in the last few days and of course, I've already made a mess. This is the only cat free zone in the whole house and I'm loving it!The rug is a little small for the room size but I will be adding a sisal rug under it for a nice layered look.

YSL
This was my birthday present and I absolutely adore it. The colors that radiate from the center when the light hits it, gorgeous! If anyone knows what year this is from please let me know as I have no clue.
Vintage Bottega Veneta

I added a few things to the shop today. There are  lots of little YSL goodies and this 1980s Bottega Veneta  shoulder bag.

Fab Finds

Since everything around me is covered in ice, to keep from losing my mind I've been doing A LOT! of online window shopping. I have been scanning through all the goodies in Etsy's vast vintage section and have come across quite a few pieces I would LOVE to have. Alas, I did just purchase a new (vintage) Chanel wallet AND Chanel shoulder bag so I probably shouldn't buy anything thing else....oh, and a pair of massive YSL logo earrings from the nineties. Technically the earrings are my valentines day gift from my husband. I told him yesterday he bought them for me, he was glad to know he had such good taste. lol Here are a few of my fab finds that definitely deserve a good home.

Deco Glamour

Since I'm freezing my but off and not looking too glamorous doing it, I thought I might need a little inspiration. The 1920s and 1930s exude pure glamour to me. I think as much as the styles have been copied and redone, I must not be the only one either.

Snow and Sparkles

It seems that Texas finally caught up with the rest of the states on the crappy weather front. Sleet and snow are what greeted me this morning. When I moved to Texas four years ago, I was told one of the perks was that it rarely snowed. Unfortunately today is that rare occasion when it does. I shouldn't complain as I  get to wear flip-flops through most of winter while everyone else bundles up in heavy coats and boots.
All the boys marveling at the snow

Sadly this one is only visiting and belongs to my neighbors

All better

Well I'm finally all better but my house looks like a bomb went off. I'm currently in the process of converting one of my spare bedrooms into my own private haven/ office. It seems that working out of a corner of your dimly lit bedroom while fending off  lap cats is not conducive to a productive work environment. At the moment my spare bedroom is not very inspiring. It is mostly just a cat haven with ugly carpet.
I decided the best thing was to rip up the carpet knowing full well it will be awhile before anything other than a concrete slab replaces it. To offset the cold floor, I recently purchased a GORGEOUS! rug from the early 1900s. Hopefully it will be here sometime this week as I found out that my concrete was not so pretty.

The floor might be fugly but that closet makes me smile every time I walk into it! It currently holds all my store inventory and I struggle daily not to play dress up. A good chunk of what's in there hasn't even been listed.
This is a hard one... This is a 2004 Aquilone Bottega Veneta Limited Edition 032/150 that I scored on ebay for a sinfully low price. I purchased it to resell but we'll have to wait and see on this beauty!
Beautiful silk PRADA dress.....

I love the neckline! If anyone knows what collection this is from let me know.
